Why use silk for your wedding?

These flowers travelled to Mexico for this photo shoot and still look fresh.

Fresh cut flowers are gorgeous but they tend to wilt before the end of the wedding, occasionally cause allergic reactions, and don’t always dry in a manner that allows you to keep them as a keepsake. Silk or latex flowers are a great alternative. Faux flowers are always in season and can be mixed with many qualities to meet or come in below your budget. Faux floral designs also can be prepared weeks in advance. They are lighter than fresh, therefore allowing ease of transport and handling.

The term “silk flowers” usually makes people immediately think negative thoughts because they are used to encountering very poorly designed arrangements and poor quality of product. Years of designing with silk flowers has led to the expansion into the wedding world. Our silk floral designs tend to leave flower lovers in awe. Not only are people head-over-heels with the look of these gorgeous arrangements, but they are shocked, especially at the wedding show, when they are informed that these beautiful flowers are not fresh cut. When the realization of these arrangements becoming keepsake items is presented, people seem to instantly love the idea of silk.

Another benefit is in decorating the reception and ceremony. Large fresh floral arrangements are very pricey. However we have a selection of silk floral rentals from huge urns filled with blossoms to topiary and table top hydrangea and rose centrepieces. We have arches and chuppahs as well. All of these are in neutral ivory tones that can be easily customized from the selection in rows of flowers we carry at our 5000sq ft shop.

We would love to meet with you to help your dream wedding come to fruition. Thank you for considering us in your floral quest.
